GREEN BUILDING

GREEN BUILDING

Let’s build a better, cleaner future.

At Creative Home Co., we realize that today’s houses need to do far more than just provide shelter. They must also be environmentally responsible and energy-efficient throughout their life cycles, from site selection to construction and beyond. Our desire to create beautiful, livable homes without compromising the future of generations is central to our core beliefs and is a guiding principle of the work we do.

Take the guess-work out of green building. Sustainable construction impacts design, choices in materials used, manufacturing methods and more. The choices and considerations can be perplexing, and the cost can be substantial. Our highly trained professionals are well-versed on the current best practices in sustainable building so we can clarity them and help you make the best decisions for your specific needs. We understand that construction budgets and lifestyle considerations will influence choices, so we quantify the upfront cost and economic payback of our green building recommendations, as well as their impact on the environment. This allows you to make the most suitable choices for your goals and budget.

Every home we build is green.

All of our homes include a variety of proven energy-efficient features that contribute to improved home quality, homeowner comfort and lower energy demand:
  • Effective Insulation Properly installed and inspected insulation in floors, walls and attics ensures even temperatures throughout the house, reduced energy costs and increased comfort.
  • Energy Efficient Windows and Doors Energy efficient windows use advanced technology such as protective coating and improved frames to help keep heat in in winter and out during summer. These windows can also block ultraviolet rays that can damage your rugs and furniture. We use ENERGY STAR®-rated windows from Andersen, Marvin, Pella and Patriot.
  • Tight Construction and Ducts Sealing holes and cracks in the home and in the heating and cooling duct system helps reduce drafts, moisture, dust, pollen and noise. A tightly sealed home is an energy efficient home.
  • Efficient Heating and Cooling (HVAC) Equipment In addition to using less energy to operate, energy efficient air conditioners and furnaces can be quieter and improve the overall comfort of the home.
  • Efficient Products We also use ENERGY STAR® appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers, and water heaters.
In addition to these basic features, we also install solar hot water heaters, solar attic fans, solar panels, specialized roofing that can resist heat gain, geothermal heat pumps and more. Please visit our Incentives page for a complete list of the federal, state and local energy efficient tax incentives and grants available that can help you pay for your new green home construction.
